Rotn Tony Ubah was born on July 27th in the year of our Lord in Kaduna. Rtn Tony Ubah hails from Ndokwa West L.G.A. of Delta State.
He attended St. Thomas Primary School, Benin City, Baptist High School Oghareki, College of Education Abraka, University of Port Harcourt and Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) Jaji. He is a trained and qualified teacher who has taught for several years in many schools within Edo and Delta states. He is presently the Principal of Okpe Grammar School, Sapele (Merit Grade). Rtn. Tony Ubah is happily married and blessed with four (4) daughters Kareen, Anthonia, Anthoinette and Andrea.
He joined the Rotary family in 1986 with the Rotaract Club of Oregbeni, Benin City and held various positions in the Club. And in 1991 he became the 16th President and thereafter was appointed District Rotaract Officer in 1993. With the creation of Delta State he transferred his membership to Rotaract Club of Sapele. Having out grown the Rotaract age, he joined others to start the Rotary Club of Sapele Metropolitan, where he served as the second (2nd) President, 2016/2017.
Rtn. Tony Ubah is a great lover of service, he joined the oldest club in Africa, Sapele Athletic Club in 2010 and was elected as clubs membership secretary for two tenures 2012 and 2013 and four tenures 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018 as Bar Secretary. He is also serving as the Secretary of both Badminton and keep-fit sessions of the club.
He is also an active unionist, and in 2001, he was co-opted into the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Sapele wing. He was appointed the 3rd Vice-Chairman in 2003 and in 2005 he contested and became the 2nd Vice-Chairman and 2009 he contested and became the 1st Vice-Chairman and later appointed Deputy Chairman in 2011. Past chairman Sapele Teachers Welfare scheme (STWS) and past member Sapele Local Government Education Authority. In 2019 he was appointed ex-officio member of NUT Delta state wing, and 1st Vice-Chairman, All Nigeria Confederation of Principal Secondary School (ANCOPSS), Delta state wing, after he had served as ANCOPSS secretary Sapele chapter for three years.
He is also the Co-ordinator General, Felix Anirah Foundation, an NGO which focuses on Education, Health Care, Sports and Empowerment of the less privilege in the society.
He is a Catholic by faith and was Secretary 2005 and 2006, Vice-Chairman 2007 and 2008 Harvest committee of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Sapele.
His hobbies include travelling, making friends and discussing contemporary issues in polities and the economy
