Onesirosan Omawumi Daibo is a Nurse and a graduate of microbiology from the Edo state university. She is a member Nigerian Society of Microbiology (NSM) and American Society of Microbiology (ASM). She is an expert in the field of primary healthcare service delivery and a staff of National Primary healthcare development Agency.
Omawumi became a Rotarian as a chartered member of the Rotary club of Ubeji in 2011. Rotary Apple as she is fondly called by her members has served the club in various capacities. Public Relations Chair, (2011/ 2012 and 2012/2013), she was elected as vice President and also served as Membership Chair (2013/2014), as Secretary for the Rotary years 2015/2016 and 2016/2017. She became President in the 2017/2018 Rotary year. During her tenure as President, she brought new innovations to her club and the club won a number of awards. Omawumi is a member of some Rotary Action groups.
She has attended several district seminars and conferences. She has served the district as a member in some sub-committees, the medical sub-committee President’s installation committee – 2014/2015, entertainment sub-committee 2017 and 2018 DISCON.
Omawumi is passionate about women and children issues. This has informed her working in collaboration with a number of NGOs in addressing maternal and child health in Nigeria. She has being actively involved in the Polio eradication Initiative (PEI) since 2000, working in various states of the federation in varying capacity: as WHO facilitator, NSTOP- CDC consultant and National monitor for the National Primary Healthcare Development Agency.
Her passion for humanitarian work made her join the Vincentian family as a member of St. Vincent the Paul society.
Omawumi is a conservative woman who loves to read, travel and spread love.
